Green Schools

Our Junior room very busy preparing and planting seeds for our school garden.
We are excited to announce that we have just planted new flowers on our newly constructed bin cover. Daire, our new part-time caretaker this year, built the bin cover using old pallets. He did a wonderful job. Thanks to the support of the tidy Tow
School days are the best days! How true these words are, as the children of Rushall NS created a wonderful atmosphere in school today.
We are very proud of our Green School status here at Rushall NS and we are delighted to achieve our sixth green flag on the theme of Global Citizenship/Litter and Waste this year. It was as a result of very hard work by the children and staff.
Last week, we were very lucky to have Craig, "the Worm Expert", come and visit our school and help us set up our brand new WORMERY! We learned so much from Craig about worms, composting and how to take care of our new school pets!! We are enjoying us
The following are some of the projects undertaken to achieve green Flag No. 4:
Rainwater is collected and used to water the school garden. Hippo bags have been placed in toilet cisterns to save water.
The following steps have been taken to conserve Energy and to achieve our second flag.
The following Recycling/Reuse projects were put in place to achieve Green Flag No. 1 and have been maintained at Rushall N.S.
