We are excited to announce that we have just planted new flowers on our newly constructed bin cover. Daire, our new part-time caretaker this year, built the bin cover using old pallets. He did a wonderful job! Thanks to the support of the tidy Town committee, we were able to get some beautiful flowers to attract bees and butterflies. This morning, we all gathered together and planted them with great care.
The flowers we planted are specifically chosen to provide nectar and pollen for our important pollinators – bees and butterflies. By planting these flowers, we are creating a welcoming environment for them to thrive. Bees and butterflies play a crucial role in pollinating plants, which helps them to produce fruits and seeds. Not only will our new flowers make our bin cover more beautiful, but they will also help to support our local ecosystem.
Our hope is that the bees and butterflies will soon be visiting our flowers and enjoying their sweet nectar. We will keep a close eye on our new flower bed and observe the different types of insects it attracts. It will be a joy to see our bin cover transformed into a vibrant haven for our buzzing friends.
