On Monday, our school had an exciting visit from the local fire brigade! The firemen arrived in their bright red fire truck, and the children could hardly contain their excitement. They came to teach us about fire safety, especially with Christmas just around the corner.
First, the firemen explained the importance of being safe during the festive season. They shared tips on how to prevent fires, like making sure our Christmas lights are safe and not leaving candles unattended. Everyone listened carefully, eager to learn.
Next, we got to see all the amazing equipment they use. The firemen showcased their gear, including helmets, jackets, and hoses. The pupils even had the chance to try on some of the gear! They also got the chance to use the hose, spraying some water to try and knock over the bollard..
Everyone enjoyed the visit, and we all learned so much about fire safety. It was a fun and informative day that reminded us how important it is to stay safe.
