On 19th June, Rushall NS came together to celebrate a very special milestone for two much-loved 6th class pupils, Abbie and Ellie. It was a truly wonderful occasion, full of warmth and laughter. Both classrooms gathered together to mark the day, and there was a lovely atmosphere from start to finish.
The celebration began with a look back over the years through a slideshow of photographs. As each image appeared on the screen, memories came flooding back, and more than a few eyes were been filled with tears. It was a heartfelt reminder of just how much Abbie and Ellie have meant to the school over the years, and how many special moments they have shared with classmates, teachers, and friends.
Following this, the girls gave an unbelievable recount of their time in Rushall NS. They spoke with such honesty, warmth, and confidence that everyone listening was reminded of just how much they have grown during their years in primary school. Their words brought home all the friendships, achievements, fun, and learning that have taken place along the way. It made teachers and pupils alike take a moment to really appreciate everything that has happened and all the memories that have been made.
As part of the celebration, Abbie and Ellie were presented with a book of “Terrific Tootles”. Their friends had taken time to write personal notes and thoughtful messages for them, and these were carefully gathered into a booklet as a keepsake. It was a lovely gesture and one that will no doubt be treasured for years to come. Small acts like this show the kindness and care that make a school community so special.
Mr Monaghan also spoke very warmly about the girls, sharing memories and kind words that clearly meant a great deal to everyone present. He then presented them with their graduation certificates, marking the end of this chapter in their school journey and the beginning of something new and exciting. His words reflected the pride felt throughout the school for all that Abbie and Ellie have achieved.
Everyone at Rushall NS wished the girls every success as they head off on their next adventure. Their journey so far has been filled with many wonderful memories, and there is no doubt that even greater things lie ahead. The sky is the limit for Abbie and Ellie, and their future is full of promise.
We look forward to welcoming them back on Fridays when the lucky girls get their half day, and to seeing them whenever they return to visit the school that has been such an important part of their lives.
