On Tuesday, the 25th of February, we were thrilled to host Aisling Halligan from GOAL at our school, who led a fantastic workshop for the Senior room centred around the theme of being a "Changemaker." This engaging session delved into important topics such as food, water, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, sparking thoughtful discussions among our students.
The workshop was a creative exploration of Global Citizenship, designed to inspire our young learners to take actionable steps towards creating a sustainable and equitable world. Aisling's passion for the subject was contagious, and she actively encouraged students to consider how they can make a difference, regardless of their age or size.
One of the highlights was watching "The Hummingbird," a poignant video that illustrated the idea that every small effort counts in the quest for positive change. The students were able to celebrate he things they were already doing and were left with lots of ideas on how they could contribute to a better future.
This workshop was not just informative but also empowering, reminding us all that everyone has a role to play in making our world a better place. We're grateful to GOAL and Aisling for this inspiring initiative!
