Bee Bots in the Junior Room

Over the past two weeks, the Junior Room has embarked on an exciting journey into the world of STEM using Bee-Bots. These small, programmable robots have provided our students with a wonderful opportunity to develop their coding skills in a fun and engaging way. By working with Bee-Bots, the children learned the importance of giving precise instructions in the correct order, known as sequencing.

Throughout our lessons, the students designed their own paths and mapped out where they wanted their Bee-Bots to go. They discovered that even small mistakes in their instructions could lead to unexpected outcomes, which highlighted the significance of accuracy in programming.

The hands-on activities not only promoted teamwork but also encouraged creativity and problem-solving. Each child had the chance to take on the role of both the programmer and the Bee-Bot, which enhanced their understanding of how programming works. Overall, the experience was filled with educational fun that developed the children's confidence while fostering a love for technology and learning.

We look forward to continuing our exploration of coding and robotics in the future!
