On June 20th Rushall NS held its Annual Sports Day. It was a day filled with laughter, cheers, and great sportsmanship!
From traditional favourites like the egg and spoon race, relays, bowling, sack race, and the three-legged race, to the lively soccer game where the teachers also joined in, it was a day of active fun for the children and grown-ups alike. Mr. Monaghan's culinary skills truly shone as he took charge of the BBQ, ensuring everyone was well-fed and happy throughout the day, with delicious burgers and sausages and home-made potato chips straight from our school garden. The jingle of the ice van added that extra touch of excitement for everyone. A heartfelt thanks to the Parents Association organising this surprise visit.
In addition to the festivities, we also held a fundraiser for Mantandani School on the same day. The children proudly wore the vibrant colours of Malawi in support of Mr. Monaghan's charity work in Malawi. The children’s generous donations and support for this cause are truly appreciated and will make a meaningful difference to the Mantandani School community.
Memorable experiences were created.
